The career-long commitment of Dr. Winifred J. Booker and the dedicated team of colleagues and staff she continues to work with has helped build capacity to improve community oral health and enhance health policy initiatives. Highchair Dental Care® is just one of the ways these efforts are endeared by this team of pediatric dentists. Oral health policy has been advanced including the Maryland law that now requires oral health education be taught for at least one hour in all public schools from kindergarten through 12th grades. Others will continue to be proposed for consideration by Maryland lawmakers. This Highchair Dental Care practice model, and the programs and initiatives listed support health care capacity building, oral health education and legislation throughout Maryland and the country.
