Dr. Winifred J. Booker

Winifred J. Booker is a board-certified pediatric dentist who received her training and certification from the Children's National Medical Center in Washington, DC. She received her dental school degree from the Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry and her undergraduate degree in biology with a minor in chemistry from Tennessee State University both in Nashville, Tennessee. Dr. Booker is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and CEO & Director of Development of The Children’s Oral Health Institute. She has worked tirelessly for over 25 years to provide oral health care to children and families in Maryland as the owner of Valley Dental Pediatrics. This same passion led to the founding of The Children’s Oral Health Institute in 1996 where she continues to serve as the CEO & Director of Development and is responsible for the development of the nationally recognized Lessons in a Lunch Box: Healthy Teeth Essentials & Facts About Snacks® program.

Other initiatives include Project Clean Toothbrush, and Operation Healthy Holiday Stocking, and most recently the PregNancy Together™ brochure developed through a collaboration with a team of interprofessional health care experts. Her commitment to providing oral health education to families inspired her to open Brushtime® Enterprises which has produced patents for the Brushtime Bunny, Dental Care in a Carrot®, and Mouth Almighty™. Her most recent endeavor, Highchair Dental Care© which includes Highchair Dental Care Studios and Continuing Education and is outlined on this website along with the Brushtime Baby(BB) line of products that support these initiatives, from the BB diaper bag, Sassy SippyCup™, Bossy Baby Bottle™, and more to the BB Song©.
