Back-to-School with Healthy Baby Smiles®

Diverse children supervised by adults playing with blocks

August is back to school month so this could means some babies may be going to daycare for the first time too. Despite the more than one-quarter of US preschoolers (28%) having experienced visible cavities well before entering school, infants and toddlers enrolled in daycare are not required to have an oral health examination. Most states require children entering elementary school to have oral health clearance from their dental home. Some states have previously required daycare providers to cleanse the mouth and the teeth of toddlers. Like these progressive requirements, Highchair Dental Care is dedicate to the prevention of tooth decay that is too often found in very young children.

New parents today are much wiser about health care, and they appreciate a welcoming dental home for the age one dental visit. Highchair Dental Care Studios takes great pride in providing this important emotional safety for families. Accordingly, this revolutionary practice model provides families, (1) highchair comfort and safety, (2) thoughtful oral care training, (3) resourceful educational content, and (4) diet behaviors guidance in “partnership with parents, and caregivers.” Join me and other colleagues at www.highchairdentalcare.com for more Trusted Healthcare Wisdom tips.
